no, i didn’t forget to blog (life update)

Ugh. It’s been a rough couple of weeks.

I wrote a life update not too long ago about how I had been in a funk. It was one of those funks that take a lot out of me and while I tried to rest and take care of myself, the light at the end of the tunnel didn’t seem to get any closer. So, I did what I try to not do.

I forced myself out.

One day, I woke up and decided that I wasn’t going to acknowledge the funk. I was going to get up, workout, shower, have a good breakfast, run errands all day, and even go out that night. I was going to fake it until I made it.

But to really try and make it work, I had to put a lot of things on the back burner whilst doing something (unvoluntarily) that was emotional and mentally draining for four months. And blogging was one of those things that I had to set aside.

Instead of sitting down to write content, I’ve been sitting down and filling up pages and pages of my journal detailling my emotions and every detail of my days. I’ve been cleaning and tending my plants, making plans and figuring out a lot of things. I didn’t want to force out content that I was dissatisfied with. So I placed blogging on the back burner.

And I’ve been doing really good these past few weeks I’ve been absent. But that doesn’t mean I forgot about blogging. In fact, I’m looking greatly to sitting down and working on content again.

I’ve decided that through this, I’ll only be publishing once a week on Wednesdays, and putting a pause on free downloadables. This is just temporary.

I’ve faked it and made it halfway through this funk. Now, it’s time to get ready to dive into the real world again. So, pacing myself just makes sense.

I have a lot of things I’m looking forward to. And blogging is one of them!

I hope everyone had/is having a lovely holiday.
